Jr.
High Students: 6th - 8th Grade
Faith Formation
Our goal for our students in Junior High is to provide a series of courses
that take into account the interests, needs, limits and capacities of
adolescents. These sessions will help our students continue to build a solid
foundation in Catholic doctrine and have an appreciation for and knowledge
of the Scriptures. These faith formation sessions will be held on Wednesday
evenings from 6:45 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Junior
High Youth Group
Our Junior High youth meet regularly to plan youth sponsored Dances,
Lock-Ins, and participate in Diocesan activities. These events are intended
to create a positive experience of the Catholic Church for adolescents.
These events are intended to help our youth know they are a vital and visual
presence within the parish community and meet other Catholic Jr. High
students from throughout the Diocese.
Youth
Ministry: 9th - 12th Grade
All high school students are encouraged to continue learning and growing in
faith by participating in Faith Formation sessions. These sessions will
allow students to examine current issues and Bible study in order to gain a
better understanding of how the Catholic faith is present in our every day
lives.
These sessions are NOT designed to be one-sided lectures with one main
speaker; rather, the sessions are designed for students and facilitator to
share thoughts and ideas and hopefully, to learn more from one another.
Although group discussion is one part of the session, prayer, games and
other activities are also integral parts. These sessions will take place on
Wednesdays from 5:45 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Senior
High Students
Our youth group invites other youth to live and share their faith with one
another. This organization is made up of parish youth and led by parish
youth. Events and activities for the social and spiritual growth of the
youth are the organization's main focus. Through parish, diocesan events,
youth convention and our youth mission trip, our youth from the parish and
throughout the diocese come together for fellowship and fun.
